I am an artist blacksmith with a workshop situated in the historical market town of Otley in West Yorkshire, a perfect setting to return to the ancient roots of traditional metal working where I make beautiful, bespoke items only by hand and fire.

At the age of 14 I got my first taste for working metal after making two wrought iron lamps for my mum in school. I then studied engineering in college when I was 16. In 1995 I became a qualified welder fabricator and have traveled around the UK and Europe with my profession.

Over the last decade I have turned to my passion of traditional metal working and begun teaching to other enthusiasts and novices in my workshop which is surrounded by stunning views of true Yorkshire countryside.

For the past three years I’ve been displaying and talking about my work at the Otley Show and have been a Resident blacksmith for Thwaites Waterways Festival 2015.
